	FEBRUARY 11, 2015 Costa Concordia captain gets prison for deadly wreck  The captain of the capsized Costa Concordia luxury liner was handed a 16-year prison sentence on Wednesday after being convicted of multiple counts of manslaughter. Francesco Schettino wasn't present when Judge Giovanni Puliatti read out the verdict night in a Grosseto theater. He had been accused of manslaughter, causing the Jan. 13, 2012 shipwreck near tiny Giglio Island and abandoning ship while many of the 4,200 passengers and crew were still aboard.
