Amber Alert drama on freeway in San Diego County Los Angeles Times | December 11, 2014 | 9:40 AM A drama involving four missing Montebello children is playing out on a freeway in San Diego County today after law enforcement stopped a car believed to be carrying the children and their father. Montebello's police chief told the Los Angeles Times that at least two of the children were with California Highway Patrol officers but the status of the others was unknown. Their father remained in the vehicle as of 9:35 a.m. An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday night for the children after their mother was found dead in the trunk of a car.
