2 people believed to be caught in fast-moving L.A. River

In the aftermath of heavy rain from today's powerful Southern California storm, Los Angeles firefighters have sent rescuers to pull at least one person from the Los Angeles River. An initial report to the department said two people were clinging to trees in the fast-moving river, swelled by rain from the storm. The Los Angeles Fire Department Swift Water team had been sent to Riverside Drive and Glendale Boulevard, spokeswoman Katherine Main said. For the latest information go towww.latimes.com. |
