Valentine's Day Ideas
Valentine's Day Ideas
We assembled a list of things to help improve your Valentine’s Day with the help of more than two dozen testers.

Next Week: Tax Software
We had an accountant simulate tax returns for people with varying jobs, incomes, and living situations over 2 different tax years to find the best tax software.
Tax Software
TurboTax is the best way to file your taxes online. It’s free, thorough, and straightforward if you work a steady job with regular income, and it’s the closest you can get to an interview with an expert without paying. —Andrew

The Best Wifi Hotspot
The Best Wifi Hotspot
If you’re constantly on the road with multiple devices in need of a data connection, you should get Verizon’s Jetpack MiFi 6620L. When picking a hotspot, the reliability of the device and the network are the most important criteria, and the Jetpack leads in both regards. We determined this after 10 hours of research and over 60 hours of testing with three top competitors. The Jetpack’s battery life is among the longest we’ve seen in any hotspot we’ve tested, it and runs on Verizon, which has the largest and fastest LTE network in the U.S. as well as good pricing for both standalone devices and plans shared with a smartphone.

The Best Paper Shredders
The Best Paper Shredder
After performing 40 hours of research, conducting extensive testing with a PhD physicist, and interviewing a guy who made his living stealing other people’s discarded personal information, we feel confident in recommending the $50AmazonBasics 12-Sheet Cross-Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder to most people who shred things a few times per month. It was our pick when this guide was originally published last year, and after a new round of testing, we’ve confirmed it’s still the best for personal use or light duty in a home office. But we do have two new alternate picks for this 2015 update. We’ve added a pick for a high-capacity shredder for frequent users and a new choice for exceptional security.
