Pharmacist Check-In: Time to Refill Your Prescription
Facts and Tips about Antidepressants By Shereen A. Gharbia, PharmD and Beth Isaac, PharmD
|
Is it time to refill your prescription for your new antidepressant medication? Want an easy way to remember to refill your prescription each month? Each time you pick up your antidepressant, mark your calendar or set a reminder or alarm on your phone or computer for the following month so you refill your prescription again before it runs out.
Try to call the pharmacy ahead of time, when you still have a few days of medication left in your bottle, just in case they don't have enough for you in stock. This not only gives them a little time to order your medication, it also gives you an extra day or two to make time to pick it up so you don't miss any doses.
