TechFlash: ScienceLogic lands $43M; Md. eyes Google-glassing while driving ban

Reston-based IT software developer ScienceLogic has landed a $43 million Series D round led by Goldman Sachs, with existing investors New Enterprise Associates and Intel Capital also participating.
Revmetrix, which aims to create an "omnichannel data platform" for retailers, announced that it has secured $2.2 million in seed funding.
The bill would apply the same state penalties for operating a cell phone while driving — a maximum fine of $75 for the first offense, $125 for the second and $175 for any subsequent violations. Points would only be assigned to the driver's license in the event of an accident.
Peach wants to be the Expedia of product warranty shopping.
Uber, which has already raised about $4 billion and hit a valuation of $40 billion, is reportedly ready to add about $1.6 billion to the funding it announced just last month.
