Big leak reveals everything you need to know about two unannounced Samsung phones
As we discussed at length in a recent review, Samsung is in trouble. The company is still pulling in tens of billions of dollars in revenue each quarter, so there are certainly companies that are worse off than Samsung, but a 60% dive in net profit last quarter is all you need to know to understand that something has to change if Samsung is to maintain its leadership position in the smartphone market. Samsung already began a huge shakeup in its mobile division by firing dozens of executives, but it remains to be seen how the company’s strategy will change in 2015 and beyond. In the meantime, two of the first new Android Samsung is set to launch in 2015 have just been detailed in a big new leak.

Apple Watch heading to production earlier than expected, iPhone 6s not so lucky
Apple’s suppliers may have significantly improved production yields for the Apple Watch, Chinese publication Economic Daily News reports, with mass-production expected to start earlier than initially anticipated. However, Apple is not likely to launch an updated iPhone 6s model in Spring, as some wild speculations suggested, the same source has revealed.

This is Apple’s latest attempt to increase iPad sales this holiday season
Apple’s share of the tablet business has been steadily decreasing, with overall demand for tablets not being as strong as it once was either, but the company is far from throwing in the towel when it comes to its tablet ambitions. Apple has already taken one step to making iPads more interesting to businesses, and that’s launching special enterprise-focused iOS apps earlier this week, and the company is rumored to be working on an even bigger iPad for next year. But for now, Apple is looking at maximizing iPad sales this holiday season, which will likely be a new record for the company when it comes to quarterly earnings.

Sony counterhacks its stolen digital goods to prevent illegal downloads
Sony Pictures has been the victim of an elaborate cyber attack, with hackers having been able to steal 100 terabytes of data from the company’s Internet-connected computer network. However, in addition to investigating the data breach, Sony is not afraid to fight back, Re/code has learned, as the company is using certain weapons to try to prevent others from downloading its digital goods.

The most amazing, terrifying, death-defying video you’ll see all day, or maybe all month, comes courtesy of Project: BASE, an organization made up of two friends who are exploring human flight and risking their lives in order to raise money for charity. In their latest video, shared by Business Insider, co-founders Sam Hardy and Nathan Jones can be seen flying down the face of a mountain in wingsuits while attempting to high five an enormous cardboard hand. It’s even more petrifying than it sounds.

Longtime Windows Phone user explains why Windows Phone has almost no shot in the U.S.
After showing some promise in 2013, Windows Phone adoption has largely stagnated in 2014, especially in the United States. ZDNet’s Ed Bott, who has used Windows Phone for years, recently threw up his hands in frustration because he’s sick and tired of wireless carriers — and Verizon in particular — not caring enough about Windows Phone users to help them get the latest updates and features on their devices.
