Incoming Media secures funding from Intel Capital; Appbot will help promote your app; Richard Branson on digital currency

Incoming Media, a mobile video engagement platform out of NICTA, is one of 16 startups from around the world to receive a slice of $US62 million worth of funding from Intel Capital.

Australian startup Appbot helps app builders promote their apps and keep track of Google Play and Appstore reviews, rankings and keywords for all countries.

At a concert last year, Matt Gerard was standing in a sea of people, struggling to find his friends. It was there he came up with the idea for Crowdsurfer, an app that lets you know where your friends are in real time.

Online retailer Shoes of Prey has inked a deal with United States department store Nordstrom to open six retail outlets in its stores.
