Apple Pay hits its first major hurdle

One of NSA’s most precious spying tools was just uncovered
Spy agencies have some very smart tools at their disposal for their surveillance and data gathering operations, many leaks have revealed so far, but Russian security agency Kaspersky Lab has uncovered one of the most important such cyber weapon available to the NSA, Reuters reports. According to the company, a country which it decided not to identify, but which the publication confirmed to be the U.S., has been able to sneak malware in a critical part of a computer, which practically made it possible not only to spy on a variety of targets with ease, but also bypass any security measures, and reinfect the machines over and over.

The unthinkable: Would Apple really consider buying Tesla?
Apple doesn’t typically make flashy acquisitions, which was why its big buy of Beats last year came as such a surprise. Nonetheless, Internet entrepreneur and angel investor Jason Calacanis makes the case that the stars are aligning perfectly for Apple to make its most massive acquisition yet: A $75 billion buy of electric car maker Tesla that he thinks will happen within the next 18 months.

The Onion designs an Apple car that would make Jony Ive wretch
While we’ve seen a prototype for Apple’s first driverless car, we’re going to assume that the final version of the vehicle will look a lot more stylish than the clunky minivan that’s been spotted on Bay Area roads recently.
