News from The Hill DHS suspends Obama's immigration action By Ben Kamisar The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is suspending the implementation of President Obama’s new executive actions on immigration to comply with an injunction from a federal judge. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said he “strongly” disagrees with the move by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen to temporarily halt the new deferred deportation programs, but said the administration will abide by his order.
