Read:
- "5 Creativity Myths You Probably Believe" by Christian Jarrett for 99u was fascinating. I especially was struck by the study with women making collages that found women creating better quality work when they weren't being judged. I'm not sure how that aligns with blogging - I have written often about feeling more creative when I have a specific challenge or deadline, but maybe that's different.
- "100 Years of National Geographic Maps: The Art and Science of Where" by Cathy Newman for National Geographic is so fascinating. My son LOVES globes, but I'm not sure he's ever seen a paper map.

- I'll be honest, it would never occur to me to use a bread cloth. But now that I've seen this kitty cat one from Mollie at Wild Olive, I might change my tune.
- I'm still burnt out from my first quilt, but I really love this beautiful free pattern from Pat Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics.

How silly is my husband! He is helping model my post over at So Sew Easy for this week - a seatbelt pillow. This is SO simple and fast to sew, perfect for road trips. Go make one. |

| I sewed up the Vintage V-neck by Blank Slate Patterns last year for a different post talking about reverse applique. I struggled with this pattern, and finally have a pattern review up; I don't recommend it but you can read why! |

| A new month means a new Try Something Every Month! For April it was wood burning - which was not highly successful. See why and what I made. |

This week I added these events to the social sewing calendar: Sorry, I don't have any to add this week! Hoping to be back in the swing of things soon. |
