New Zealand cloud accounting software company Xero has announced a $140 million capital raise from American venture capital firms Accel Partners and Matrix Capital Management.

About halfway through the 2014 AngelCube program, Sam Lee and Mark Robinson realised their startup idea wasn’t viable. So they headed to the pub and started again, creating mobile hotel booking app Class.
