Afternoon all,

With property prices at record highs in much of the UK, the National Grid is dismantling gas holders and selling off the land. You haven’t got much time to appreciate the beauty of structures like this lovely pair in east London.

The fog of war isn't something which just happens - it's something which can be manufactured. And according to Lucy Ash, it's something that Russia is skilled in. The Russian strategy is to say there is no such thing as truth. They call it maskirovka. The monk, in the centre of the picture, admitted to being a bit uncomfortable with the whole thing. Perhaps even more surprising was that a former senior Communist Party official with close links to the Chinese leadership invited the BBC into his home to witness him praying in front of a portrait of the Dalai Lama. But it happened.
