It’s game time. Sunday’s Super Bowl ends a year of NFL scandals and Commissioner Roger Goodell said it's been a time of humility, learning and soul searching. Aside from making sure the footballs are properly inflated on Sunday, a massive effort is in place to keep 70,000 fans safe. NBC’s Ron Mott reports from Glendale, Arizona and gets a look at the Blackhawk helicopters that will patrol the sky.

A Boy’s Measles Fight 
When 3-year-old Uriah Krueger woke up with a rash his mother was shocked to learn it was measles, asking “What is this, 1950?” The toddler was halfway through his immunizations when he was exposed to the outbreak. His parents share their story, including meeting hospital doctors who had never seen the virus before.

It’s a gleeful right of passage for some kids and a snow day tradition. But with lawsuits mounting from slopeside injuries, some cities are banning sledding. The idea had one city official saying “this sucks.”

Spontaneous Applause 
Brian Williams met Command Sgt. Major Terpak 12 years ago while covering the Iraq war. “We quickly realized we were from neighboring towns in New Jersey,” Williams said, and the deal was sealed. They kept in touch and last night the war veteran enjoyed a surprise tribute during their public reunion.

Some Very Happy Fans 
Last year, young football fan Shanon Cox watched his favorite Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl from his bed in Kentucky. He was battling leukemia and is now in remission, and has quite an improved vantage point this time. With a ticket to the game, this 8-year-old is among the kids experiencing what the Make-A-Wish Foundation does best.
