  • Administration Official Wants Congress' Help on Some Gitmo Detainees, But Huh?

    The Defense Department official who is Special Envoy for Guantanamo Closure told a House subcommittee Thursday that sooner or later, the detention facility would be down to people who aren't fit for release/transfer to other countries, or military prosecution. And then, said the official, Paul Lewis, the administration will want to "work with Congress for options on those detainees." Full story
