BREAKING: NASA: Dawn spacecraft is in orbit around Ceres for the first visit to a dwarf planet

After a 7-1/2 journey through the solar system, NASA's Dawn spacecraft sent back a signal 310 million miles back to earth on Friday that confirmed it successfully settled into orbit around the mini-planet Ceres that lies in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
