Deadly Hostage Siege 
The man who took 17 people hostage in Sydney, leaving two killed, is being described as a lone wolf Muslim extremist. The remaining hostages were freed 16 hours after they were held up in a cafe. One witness described “chilling scenes” as the gunman made them stand in the window with “their hands, their faces pressed against the glass.”
