Facebook open-sources its machine learning magic

Facebook has open-sourced tools used with the Torch framework as part of its effort to become a leading force in AI. The open-sourced modules include GPU-optimized modules for large convolutional nets (ConvNets), as well as for networks with sparse activations that are commonly used in Natural Language Processing applications.

EMC shoots down break-up talk: 'We’re better together'

New Surface Pro 3 firmware update triggers BSOD

Microsoft continues to plug away at resolving Surface Pro 3 glitches -- particularly persistent Wi-Fi connection problems -- releasing its 10th firmware update for the Surface Pro 3 on Jan. 15.
