House approves Homeland Security budget as GOP gives up fight

The House today voted 257 to 167 to approve a budget for the Department of Homeland Security that is not tied to restrictions on President Obama's immigration plan after Speaker John A. Boehner was forced to leave his conservative flank behind and reach across the aisle for support from Democrats.
