Webinar—When Public Health Goes to Court: Judicial Structure and Functions. The Public Health Law Program (PHLP) and the Network for Public Health Law are co-hosting a three-part webinar series on the judiciary’s role in public health. The first webinar in the series will take place Thursday, February 5, 2015, 1:00–2:30 pm (EST). This webinar will describe the structure and essential functions of the state and federal court systems, including administrative courts; explore the tribal court system; and examine the role of court watch programs in addressing public health issues. The webinar is free, and CLEs are available for some attendees.

Menu of Prescription Drug Physical Examination Requirements. PHLP has published an inventory of state legal strategies to help assess prescription drug physical examination laws. This menu includes laws that expressly require an examination or evaluation by a physician for prescription drugs for a patient to receive prescription drugs.

Menu of State Batterer Intervention Program Laws. PHLP has published an inventory of state laws that reference or require batterer intervention programs and the characteristics of these laws.
