Greetings!
No parent wants their kid to become a spoiled brat. But how can they prevent that?

New York Times finance columnist Ron Lieber tackles that question in his new book,The Opposite of Spoiled. In aGreater Good excerpt, Lieber lays out six ways to keep your kids grounded, generous, and smart about money.

And in another new article, GGSC Education Director Vicki Zakrzewski explains why, in order to raise moral kids, programs that teach emotional intelligence aren't enough.

Meet Our Fellows
Meet 2014-2015 Hornaday Graduate Fellow Hooria Jazaieri.

Hooria is a doctoral student in UC Berkeley's psychology department. As a Hornaday Graduate Fellow, she will investigate whether compassion can improve how we relate to people we have stigmatized and considered to be outside of our social group.

Stay tuned for descriptions of work being done by our other fellows in upcoming newsletters!
