Celebrate with us this Saturday!
There’ll be lots to wag about Saturday at the Grand Opening of our new Dumb Friends League Adoption Center, located at the Petco store near I-25 and Colorado Boulevard. Stop by on Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to meet adorable, adoptable cats and dogs, and enjoy yummy refreshments, free pet food samples and great prizes.

Ignore the backhoe...it’s business as usual
We’ve started construction on the new Cat Pavilion at our Quebec Street Shelter! The shelter will remain open throughout the project, and you can still adopt a new furry friend and access all our services (although some entrances will be closed temporarily). Please pardon our dust—and thanks for your patience as we build a better future for homeless cats.

Whew! What a terrific telethon!
This pooped pup nodded off towards the end of our 17th annual Pledges for Pets Telethon—but who wouldn’t after five hours of playing and being adored? Hundreds of generous donors helped us raise more than $289,000, and 76 cats and dogs were adopted on Jan. 25, including Opal, an 8-year-old cat who found her forever home after coming to us in July.

Free spay/neuter for cats on World Spay Day
Spaying or neutering cats and dogs is critical to reducing the number of homeless pets in our community. In honor of World Spay Day on Feb. 24, the Dumb Friends League is partnering with the Colorado Animal Welfare League to offer a free spay/neuter clinic for cats at the Northglenn Recreation Center.
