What if our high schools routinely taught students to code or design apps? Or helped students build robots or understand the principles of engineering? Those are exactly the kinds opportunities that students have as part of an all-hands-on-deck effort to keep up the great progress at Cardozo Education Campus, where Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and I visited yesterday.
Read about my trip to Washington, DC’s Cardozo Education Campus, where they are raising the bar on innovation in education Across the country, schools like Cardozo are leading a groundswell of innovation in education focused on helping all students succeed. In Washington, there is an active debate about whether or not to continue supporting the kind of innovation that helps educators get results for the students who need us the most. Now is not the time to turn back. We need to support students, educators and their communities, as they continue to drive innovation, so that all students have the opportunity to succeed. Watch a video from our visit to Cardozo Education Campus With my best wishes, Nadya Nadya Chinoy Dabby Assistant Deputy Secretary for Innovation and Improvement |
