At the intersection of whimsy and scientific rigor, you will find the estimable Marc Abrahams, editor of the Annals of Improbable Research and founder of the Ig Nobel Prize ceremony. Not content to have conquered the page and the stage, Abrahams et al. have now launched the Improbable Research weekly podcast, to which one can subscribe on iTunes or Play.it. How could one resist subscribing, when the first episode features coverage of such topics as the karaoke epidemic, the mind of the waiter, and, quote, "wascally wabbit wrapping," unquote. And we haven't even mentioned the dead ducks! Spend a half-hour with "research that makes people LAUGH, then THINK — research about anything and everything, from everywhere — research that's good or bad, important or trivial, valuable or worthless." You'll thank us, and Mr. Abrahams, for it. (We hope!)
