Manhunt Underway for Gunmen as Paris Stands in Solidarity

Terror Attack in Paris 
A manhunt is underway for at least two suspected gunmen who opened fire in a swift and deadly assault on the staff of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo Wednesday. Twelve people were killed, including prominent journalists and an 80-year-old cartoonist. The shooters shouted in Arabic before fleeing the scene. As the world reacts, people filled the streets in Paris in solidarity. NBC’s Bill Neely reports from Paris.

White House Reaction 
President Obama called France one of America’s “oldest allies” and offered condolences to French President Hollande from Air Force One, saying he has the full support of the United States. Sect. of State John Kerry condemned the attacks in English and French, and said “each and every American” stands with France.

Finding AirAsia Flight 8501 
Searchers have made a big break in the mystery of AirAsia Flight 8501. They think they’ve spotted the fuselage on sonar, and the critical tail section, which may contain the black boxes, was found on the ocean floor. Even as strong currents hampered divers, AirAsia’s founder tweeted he is committed to finding the entire plane soon to “ease the pain of our families.”
