Microsoft prepares to show off Windows 10
Microsoft is set to officially unveil Windows 10, its next-generation operating system, on Wednesday -- a major test for the company as it tries move on from its previous stumble, Windows 8.No, you read that right. Microsoft has opted to skip "Windows 9" altogether, characterizing the number skip as a symbolic leap forward. (Though there are other theories -- the most obvious being that 7 ate 9.)
