The stupidest thing you’ll read today: ‘The Apple Watch will flop’
Ahh, the bitter battle for page views. Sometimes it leads bloggers and journalists to pay closer attention to what readers want, constantly tweaking their content to amplify what works and avoid what doesn’t. But sometimes, it causes a writer or an editor to slap a horrible headline on an otherwise boring and obvious post. It all started decades ago when broadcast journalists discovered they could scare viewers into tuning in to the 10 o’clock news with chilling teasers that didn’t always represent actual upcoming reports. Now, it has led us here, to CNN’s Wednesday morning masterpiece: “The Apple Watch will flop. Here’s why.”

Huge leak: Photos of the Galaxy S6 housing just leaked, and it looks like… an iPhone 6
Apple launched the iPhone 6 back in mid-September, so it’s now time for Samsung to come out with its own version of the hugely popular handset. At least that appears to be the conclusion of two different reports, one detailing the phone’s design and features, and one actually providing images of the Galaxy S6’s metal chassis.

Wireless price war continues: Verizon data plan price cuts will save you $120
Verizon Wireless is about to slash the prices of nearly every More Everything plan in its portfolio, and once again you have T-Mobile to thank. The “Uncarrier” shook things up with CEO John Legere’s antics backed up by industry-shifting initiatives, and the shockwaves continue to be felt throughout the wireless industry. T-Mobile is adding new subscribers at a shocking pace, and larger rivals have no choice but to respond. Now, this latest response will end up saving some Verizon Wireless subscribers a good amount of money.

Here’s one more reason to be excited about the 12-inch Retina MacBook Air
Apple is expected to launch a brand new MacBook Air model in the coming months, a 12-inch version that will bring a significant design update to the company’s family of ultra-portable notebooks. The device is going to be even slimmer and lighter than existing 11-inch and 13-inch designs, reports have revealed, with Apple said to start selling it in stores sometime this quarter. Even though the price of the 12-inch model is yet to be officially announced, there’s now a reason to be excited about the notebook even if you don’t plan to buy one.

Video: Terrifying Taipei plane crash caught by dash cam
A TransAsia plane on Wednesday crashed into a Taipei river shortly after taking off, The Wall Street Journal reports, with at least 23 of the 58 people on board killed in the accident, according to a recent update from The Guardian. The plane briefly clipped a bridge seconds before it crashed into the river, with a passerby having recorded the whole incident on a dash camera.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge is far from being a smash hit
Samsung is going to launch two distinct Galaxy S6 models in early March, according to many reports, but also according to its own teaser press invite posted online recently. By all accounts, we can look forward to a regular display version and one with a flexible screen that might have two Edge displays similar to what the company did with the Galaxy Note Edge. But a new report from South Korea reveals that the curved display version of the Galaxy Note 4 wasn’t exactly a smash hit for the company.

Video: Yes, reading an app’s privacy policy aloud is pretty frightening
One of the constant privacy topics that comes around like a boomerang every now and then is related to mobile apps and the permissions they require users to agree to before apps can be installed. But users rarely read the privacy policies that come with their apps, and rarely understand them when they actually do read them. At least that’s what a video says, posted on YouTube by Silent Circle, the company making the most secure Android handset out there — though it too was found to have been potentially harmful to owners.

OnePlus teases Android 5.0 Lollipop coming soon for the One

Watch Netflix’s tantalizing teaser for its upcoming Daredevil series
Daredevil has sadly been one of the few Marvel superheroes who has not been well represented on film — the 2003 Daredevil film starring Ben Affleck was a dud and the 2005 spin-off Elektra was an all-time stinker. Because of this, fans of the world’s first blind superhero will have to hope that he gets redeemed by Netflix’s upcoming TV show based on the sadly under-utilized Marvel character.
