Pacific Coast Highway, westbound 10 closed in Santa Monica for death probe Los Angeles Times | February 27, 2015 | 6:43 AM A stretch of Pacific Coast Highway and the westbound 10 Freeway in Santa Monica were shut down early Friday morning after a person was found dead on the highway. The body was found at about 3 a.m. just north of the McClure Tunnel where the freeway transitions to PCH, police said. Police have shut down the roadway in both directions and are diverting traffic off the westbound 10 at 4th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
