Lawmakers came perilously close to missing the midnight deadline for funding DHS, with the House voting after 10 p.m. to approve a one-week continuing resolution to keep the department open. The House passed the one-week bill in a 357-60 vote. Earlier in the night, the Senate passed the one-week funding bill in a voice vote, handing House GOP leaders a lifeline. Read more here. |
