This image in "false color" was taken by the SPOT 5 satellite September 28, 2011 and covers a large part of Brussels and the north-eastern suburbs.
If one is particularly interested in the city, we see a number of green spaces, such as the Cinquantenaire park on the edge of the European Quarter. Brussels is the de facto capital of the European Union and with the presence of the EU institutions on its soil, the city became a major center of international relations.
