He killed the crocodile that ate his wife

A crocodile killed Mubarak’s wife. When it returned to their village he tried to kill it with stones. But that didn’t work so he went to the blacksmith and commissioned a spear. His friends didn’t think the spear would be big enough because the crocodile was so huge. But Mubarak didn’t care much if he died in the process.

Eddie is a convicted paedophile. He says he became an abuser when his drinking was out of control. He doesn’t blame the alcohol but he also doesn’t really understand why he did what he did and he feels guilty. There is a group working with Eddie, which tries to stop abusers reoffending by offering support. It’s one of a few organisations that tries to protect children by working directly with paedophiles, including a helpline called Stop It Now! In the Netherlands they even have a TV ad.
