Jeb Bush, a rumored 2016 Republican presidential candidate, just decided to publish hundreds of thousands of emails sent to him during his time as governor of Florida. On its face it seems like a great idea in the name of transparency, but there's one huge problem: neither Bush nor those who facilitated the publication of the records, including the state government, decided to redact potentially sensitive personal information from them.

After slogging through a botched Sony reboot, audiences can finally expect Spidey, one of the most esteemed — and valuable — superheroes ever created, to take his rightful place beside the Avengers. As Marvel’s statement reads, "Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios share a love for the characters in the Spider-Man universe and have a long, successful history of working together. This new level of collaboration is the perfect way to take Peter Parker’s story into the future." There’s just one problem: With Andrew Garfield allegedly out, we don’t need Peter Parker at the movies anymore. We need Miles Morales.

The performer and producer is a man who likes his toys high-tech and top of the line, especially drones. Sony has one of the greatest comic book superheroes of all time, and it was screwing everything up. Last year's Amazing Spider-Man 2 wasn't a box office disaster, but it made notably less money than any of Sony's other Spider-Man films. Critically, it was a mess. And this was supposed to be the film that would kick off its own series of interconnected sequels and spinoffs.

Yesterday, somebody or something at Amazon input the wrong command, and the Kindle Voyage went on sale for $59.99, almost 75 percent off its $199 price tag. Like any other person who inhales the internet like life-giving oxygen, I saw news of this mistake immediately and took advantage of it within moments, receiving an order confirmation before Amazon made its fix.

Sony appears to be lending Spider-Man to Marvel in exchange for the studio's expertise — not its money. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel won't be paying a dime to put Spider-Man in one of its upcoming films, despite the fact that Sony still holds the character's film rights.

Flipboard, the newsreading app that has amassed 50 million monthly users on mobile devices, arrives today on the web. On the bigger screen, Flipboard is big, beautiful, and responsive. In moving to the desktop, Flipboard hopes to open up a big new avenue of distribution. But can a mobile app like Flipboard win millions of new fans on the web, or is the company building for the past?

When Airbnb got taken to task by the New York City Council last month, one of the key points of contention was who exactly uses Airbnb and how they’re using it. Airbnb maintained that it’s used by New Yorkers renting out rooms on occasion; councilmembers said it was used by illegal hoteliers, renting out multiple apartments on a rolling basis, diminishing the available housing stock and raising rents. The City Council demanded user data, and Airbnb refused.
