NCHHSTP Newsroom: First-of-its-kind model estimates HIV transmission at each stage of care

Today, JAMA Internal Medicine published a new CDC study using a first-of-its-kind statistical model to show that 9 in 10 new HIV infections in the United States could be averted by diagnosing people living with HIV and ensuring they receive prompt, ongoing care and treatment.

CDC developed a 60-second video that provides a brief explanation of the study findings and how they can help focus prevention and treatment efforts where they will have the biggest impact.
