| Report Shows Where Efforts to Promote Entrepreneurship Fall Short A research paper released this week by the Kauffman Foundation recommends that local and state governments should reformulate their efforts to promote business startups. “Guidelines for Local and State Governments to Promote Entrepreneurship” reports that, even though many cities and states have been relying on traditional methods to promote entrepreneurship for at least two decades, those strategies often are ineffective and the rate of new business formation is declining. | Kauffman Foundation Brings ‘Startup Oasis’ to SXSW The Kauffman Foundation, in partnership with UP Global, will host three days of entrepreneurship programming at the “Startup Oasis” during this year’s SXSW Interactive in Austin. The event, running March 14 to 16 at the Old School Bar & Grill, will be home to all things startup and give founders and creators the opportunity to connect and share ideas during the first three days of the festival.
