BREAKING NEWS: Police officer shot in Paris suburb dies

A police union official tells the Associated Press that an officer shot early Thursday on the southern edge of Paris has died. Authorities say it is too soon to determine if the shooting is connected to Wednesday’s deadly Islamist terror attack on the Charlie Hebdo magazine that killed 12 people, including two police officers.
