Rep. Boehner reelected speaker of the House

Rep. John A. Boehner was reelected speaker of the House for the new 114th Congress today, overcoming opposition from the GOP's conservative flank to win his third term.
The Ohio representative will lead the biggest Republican majority since the 1940s, with 246 Republicans taking office on the first day of the new congressional term.
An faction of 25 Republicans withheld its support for Boehner to protest, they said, the way he’s managed the conference in the last four years.
