Happy New Year! In our first enews of 2015 we're featuring some of our best Splash games to keep students entertained in the last weeks of the holidays – all linked to the Australian Curriculum.
Let's kick off with history games. Our award-winning game QED: Cosmo's Casebook is set in Ancient Rome and you play Cosmo – not your average hero. There's also Choose Your Own Statistics, where you can compare today's statistics with those of decades past; and Settling in Ballarat, exploring the lives of people who lived between 1857 and 2000.
There are over 200 maths games at Splash! Where to start? Kick off at The Metrix, where you'll need to measure lengths of cable to repair the Metrix spacecraft. Then head off on a Pirate Treasure Hunt, try your hand atWishball or play with these fun Time Tools.
Like the idea of building a dream bike out of similes? Or devising a rap about a sunken underwater city?Perhaps you'd rather play with words and pictures to learn the first letter of words? Or maybe design a sign for arainforest walking track?
If science is your thing, we have 85 science games to choose from. Play with anenergy calculator, learn where tap water comes from, experiment withkitchen chemistry, find out all about the platypus lifecycle and invesitgate why animals see things differently in the fun Eyeball Challenge.
