Happy New Year! In our first enews of 2015 we're featuring some of our best Splash games to keep students entertained in the last weeks of the holidays – all linked to the Australian Curriculum.
Let's kick off with history games. Our award-winning game QED: Cosmo's Casebook is set in Ancient Rome and you play Cosmo – not your average hero. There's also Choose Your Own Statistics, where you can compare today's statistics with those of decades past; and Moments in Time, with key events from around the world from 650 to 1918 CE.
There are nearly 100 secondary maths games at Splash! Kick off by creating your own census about your suburb or city with ConCensus. Then get a dance party started using maths in DJ Decibel or compare mobile phone companies in this game about phone plans.
Like the idea of using skim-reading skills to design streetwear? Or coming up with a rap about a sunken underwater city? What about playing the role of a sports commentator in thisgame about cricket? You're in the right place!
If science is your thing, we have 90 secondary science games to choose from. Play with an energy calculator, learn aboutphotosynthesis, experiment with optics and prisms, researchthunderstorms for a TV show and conduct a sea rescue!
