Obama names interim Secret Service chief to run agency full time

President Obama has chosen Joseph Clancy, interim head of the Secret Service and a longtime veteran of the agency, to run it full time, a senior administration official said today. Last month the Secret Service removed four officials from key positions as the agency continued to deal with fallout from a series of security lapses last year that included a man who jumped a White House fence and made his way into the residence.
