Dear StartupSmart reader,
South Australia’s new innovation minister has committed to shifting Adelaide’s economy away from traditional manufacturing and towards tech startups in order to secure the state’s economic future.

The Victorian Taxi Association has hit out at Uber’s latest marketing campaign to deliver kittens to people’s offices in Australia, describing the move as a “glib marketing campaign” made in poor taste.

There are growing concerns the federal government’s proposed data retention laws could force smaller internet service providers and telcos out of business.

An Adelaide-based program for budding entrepreneurs aged between 14 and 18 years old is launching nationally with the hope of giving young people around Australia the opportunity to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

With HoloLens, the future of reality is augmented.
