Wednesday, March 4th 2015 Chutzpah! Festival  February 17 to March 15 The Norman and Annette Rothstein Theatre CBC Vancouver is a proud television sponsor of the 2015 Chutzpah! Festival. Chutzpah! is a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary international celebration that brings light and vibrancy to the too-often grey months of February & March. Celebrating its 15th Anniversary in 2015, the festival has grown from its home at the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre in the Jewish Community Centre into a multi-venue, city-wide occasion. Every year the organization welcomes esteemed artists from around the world to share their talent, expression, and insight with the people of Vancouver. This kaleidoscopic array features performers whose message & gifts resonate deeply with the local Jewish community, as well as offer excitement and emotion to arts-lovers across the Lower Mainland. In this way the festival is an essential conduit, connecting Vancouver audiences to a thriving international community and bringing the world’s most creative minds to our corner of the planet. For tickets and schedule information, visit Chutzpah!  CBC Celebrates Prince Georges' 100th Anniversary On March 6th, citizens of Prince George are invited to Books and Company to watch a live broadcast of CBC Radio One’s Daybreak North with hosts Russell Bowers and Carolina de Ryk. Host Gloria Macarenko takes over the live broadcasting duties at noon with a Prince George edition of B.C. Almanac. Guests include Mayor Lyn Hall and Heather Oland, CEO of Initiatives Prince George. The celebration continues Saturday, March 7 when CBC Meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe hosts three “kid friendly” Science Smart sessions at Exploration Place.  Admission is free.  CBC personalities Russell Bowers, Carolina de Ryk, Gloria Macarenko and Johanna Wagstaffe will also be on site for a special meet and greet with the public.
