Wednesday, March 11 SFU Surrey Campus 3:00 - 6:00 pm CBC Radio On The Coast with Stephen Quinn will be LIVE from SFU Surrey. We want to hear YOUR opinions on the Metro Vancouver Transportation Referendum. From 4:30 to 6 PM we will be taking your questions and comments live on the radio.How will you vote and why? What would make you move more easily around the region? What questions do you have for the Mayors on either side of this debate? Mayor Greg Moore of Port Coquitlam and Mayor Nicole Read of Maple Ridge will be there to respond. We'll be live in the Dale B. Regeher Grand Hall. Look for the CBC red tent in the main atrium! |

Sunday, March 22 3:00 - 4:00 pm CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre 700 Hamilton Street, Vancouver CBC Vancouver presents a joyous celebration of Nowruz (Persian New Year). This FREE afternoon concert will take place in CBC’s Studio 40 and will be hosted by B.C. Almanac's Gloria Macarenko. Vancouver based singer Tahere Falahati is a hidden musical treasure who performs classical Persian repertoire in a style dating back centuries. Along with composer and kamancheh master Saeed Farajpoury, daaf and tonmak player Hamin Honari, and oud player Ali Sajjadi, these artists will enchant you with their skill and the melodic beauty of their music. A RUSH LINE will be in place beginning at 2:00 PM outside the CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre at 700 Hamilton Street. There is no guarantee that space will be available for rush line guests but we will do our best to accommodate everyone. |
