CTA Lead Legislation - Colorado Crowdfunding Legislation Recently HB 15-1246 was introduced in the Colorado State Legislature. This bill will create the “Colorado Crowdfunding Act” to facilitate crowdfunding by authorizing a broker dealer to offer securities pursuant to this exemption or through on-line intermediaries who match a Colorado investor with a Colorado business that wishes to sell securities.
Bill to incentivize data center investments in Colorado HB 15-1158 allows an owner, operator or tenant of a qualified new or refurbished data center a tax incentive for investing in IT equipment used and maintained in a qualified data center. If the bill becomes law, Colorado will be more competitive when it comes to recruiting data center investments to Colorado. The bill passed the House Business Affairs Committee and will next be heard in the House Finance Committee.

ReadyTalk gives you all the confidence that’s been missing in online meetings and webinars. The platform delivers serious collaboration technology, supported by expert service you didn’t think was possible. Their passion is perfect meetings and presentations.
Founded in 2001, ReadyTalk’s founders, brothers Dan and Scott King, recognized that building a great company required creating a work environment where employees enjoy coming to work every day. In order to reach this goal, they built ReadyTalk’s culture around a set of core values. There’s high importance placed on ongoing community involvement, environmental sustainability, and best-in-class customer service all while offering a positive work life balance for employees. Additionally, the company has been honored with several awards recognizing ReadyTalk as one of the best places to work in Colorado and a “Fast Growing” company.
The CTA staff and board of directors use ReadyTalk's web conferencing very frequently, and we thank ReadyTalk for their generous in-kind contributions that help to connect us and power our work! |

Foundation Talent Center Programs
|
|
The Talent Center service model makes it easy for companies to meaningfully engage with students and educators to create the workforce they need. Talent Center programs are gaining momentum through efforts of participating member companies. Please welcome HomeAdvisor and Universal Mind to the Career Connections program roster as well as Swiftpage, Istonish and the City and County of Denver who will be hosting students through our Summer Internships program.
The Career Connections program offers an introductory company visit for high school students as well as insight on the business, career pathway overviews from staff and a hands-on, experiential component with mentors. We are also seeking companies to host project-based, college-level interns and help us pilot program efforts summer 2015.

C-Level is your platform to connect
I've been involved with C-Level for seven years and each year I’m overwhelmed by how deep the relationships grow. C-Level really is a platform for connecting and drives CTA's programming and advocacy efforts to build those connections all year across Colorado and beyond.
Large companies may come because they struggle to innovate and want to discover technologies startups are building or seek partnerships and acquisitions. They also may use it as a showcase to differentiate themselves and their products. In many ways, I see C-Level as Colorado’s version of a smaller CES.
