20 Communities Selected for Brownfield Grants to Revitalize Communities and Strengthen Local Economies Moms Matter in the Fight Against Climate Change Help Spread the Word About the Safer Choice Label EPA Announces Top Performing ENERGY STAR Certified Manufacturing Plants 20 Communities Selected for Brownfield Grants to Revitalize Communities and Strengthen Local Economies EPA recently awarded the third round of Brownfields Area-Wide Planning (AWP) grants to 20 communities across 16 states. The AWP grants help revitalize communities and strengthen local economies through the cleanup and reuse of Brownfields sites. By revitalizing the area, community leaders, local governments, and businesses are able to develop a shared plan to create successful and sustained community improvements. These plants have saved a record amount of energy, cut their energy bills by $725 million, and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than eight million metric tons.  EPA provides industry-specific benchmarking tools to help industry measure energy performance for more than 20 manufacturing sectors. Read more about this year’s certified manufacturing plants here. http://go.usa.gov/3aU7J
