Medicaid Expansion Not Much Help for Childless Adults  By Paul Jenks Many states, prompted by the Affordable Care Act, have expanded Medicaid coverage. However, the expansion largely omits broader coverage for adults who do not have children. Of the 27 states that have recently expanded coverage, 23 did not expand it for adults without children, who often do not qualify for Medicaid -- no matter how low their income is. Full story Veterans’ Mental Health Bill Quickly Advances  By Paul Jenks A veterans' mental health bill is racing to become one of the early measures signed into law this year.
