The Department of Justice will seek a stay of a Texas judge's ruling that has forestalled President Barack Obama's executive order on immigration, a White House spokesman said.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the request will be filed by Monday.
U.S. District Court Judge Andrew S. Hanen this week temporarily blocked the President's controversial executive actions on immigration -- announced in November -- that were meant to ease the deportation threat to millions.
