Some drycleaners have begun using chemicals that are promoted as safe and environmentally friendly. However, their effects on human health and the environment are not well characterized. NIOSH and partners at the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County, Washington conducted evaluations to learn more about two of these solvents. Read more on the NIOSH Science Blog.
