Partners across Colorado unite to help create a pipeline for tech talent to land good-paying jobsWASHINGTON, D.C. and DENVER— Colorado is one of 20 pilot regions across the country to launch
TechHire. This bold public-private initiative, set forth by President Obama, aims to identify, connect and train individuals seeking to learn new technology skills—particularly computer programming. This training would come throug
h universities and community colleges as well as nontraditional approaches like coding boot camps and high-quality online courses that can rapidly train workers for a good-paying job, often in just a few months.
Partners in TechHire include the Colorado Technology Association, the Office of Economic Development and International Trade and the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment. Working closely with training programs like SeedPaths, a coding and app school, and Swiftpage, a Colorado-based industry leader in business solutions, TechHire will help create a pipeline for success from skills development into internships, apprenticeships and job placement in great paying careers.
