Vice President Joe Biden is expected to attend Rafael Ramos’ funeral tomorrow. He’ll join the thousands paying tribute today and tomorrow to one of the two New York police officers recently gunned down. There were salutes and tributes at his wake today, and earlier, Ramos’ widow sobbed as a 9/11 charity announced it will raise money for both families. While some mourn, anti-police protests continued in more cities and the NYPD has received dozens of threats.

People trying to use new tech gifts yesterday faced error messages and outages on Xbox Live and PlayStation amid a new cyberattack. The group taking credit is on the FBI’s radar for other attacks and is not believed to be related to the recent Sony Pictures cyberattack. Its movie “The Interview,” that sparked the outrage, took in $1 million at the box office and is topping requests online.

Among the survivor stories of the tsunami that stunned the world 10 years ago today, is model Petra Nemcova. She described clinging to a palm tree with a broken back as children nearby screamed for help. “That was the hardest moment,” she said.
