Join Poetry Foundation president Robert Polito for a gallery talk and conversation with painter Trevor Winkfield as we approach the March 13th closing of his current show, Trevor Winkfield's Pageant. This intimate event is free and open to the public with RSVP. Refreshments will be served.
Commissioned by the Poetry Foundation, The Chicago 77 is a 77-line poem comprised of found text and objects from each of Chicago’s 77 community areas. The piece was created by poets and artists Fatimah Asghar, Krista Franklin, Fo Wilson, and Jamila Woods. The completed poem has been printed in a single edition on paper made by artists Margaret Mahan and Drew Matott.

Trevor Winkfield’s Pageant Reading Room
The Poetry Foundation Library hosts a special reading room curated as a companion to the exhibition Trevor Winkfield’s Pageant. The collection includes Winkfield’s creative and critical writing, collaborations with poets, and a range of eclectic artistic and literary influences. Open Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, through March 13.
